Call for Scores 2022: Piano

Are you a composer? Do you have piano compositions sitting around, not being played by anyone other than yourself? Then why not submit them for a chance to have them performed on YouTube?

If you watch my YouTube channel, then you would know that every now and then, I like to sight-read pieces that I’ve never played before. To spice things up a bit, I’ve decided to invite ALL LIVING COMPOSERS to submit their piano compositions which I will then sight-read in future videos on YouTube, spread out over time.

This would be a great opportunity for you to get your music played, for the audience to hear new music and also for me to sight-read pieces I’ve never played before.

Please note that since I will be sight-reading, don’t expect a perfect rendition of your composition. Having said that, I’ll do my best to play the piece as accurately and as musically as I can.

I’m inviting ALL LIVING COMPOSERS to submit their piano compositions.

Please send them to my email at contact@pianosightreading.com.au.

ALL piano scores will be accepted regardless of your age, nationality, gender or experience. To submit your piano compositions, please follow the guidelines below.

Guidelines for submission:

– The piece should be no longer than 5 minutes.

– The piece must not be for prepared piano (I would need a grand piano which I don’t have).

– The piece can be in ANY style – classical, romantic, jazz, modern, pop, etc.

– Include a title and a short description of the piece (if relevant).

– Include your name (or pseudonym, if you prefer).

– The piece must be notated digitally (NOT handwritten) and sent as a PDF.

– The piece must NOT be under copyright otherwise I may not be able to play it on YouTube.

– There is NO deadline for submission.

Please send no more than 3 pieces at a time. If you have any questions, please email me at contact@pianosightreading.com.au.

I look forward to receiving and sight-reading your compositions! I will notify you when your music is published on YouTube.
